30 April – Savannah Sparrow singing at Creamer’s Field
28 April – Swainson’s Thrush singing in west Goldstream Valley
27 April – Violet-green Swallow on the backfields of Creamer’s
26 April – Fox Sparrows at Beberg Court
26 April – 5 Lesser Yellowlegs flew into Creamer’s around 6:00 pm
25 April – Townsend’s Solitaire singing on ridge south of Angel Rocks
25 April- First Rusty Blackbird seen and heard calling, followed by a calling Northern Flicker at Peat Ponds behind College Peat; first Hammond’s Flycatcher reported from Chatanika River Bridge on the Elliot Highway
24 April- pair of Tree Swallows using the front fields at Creamer’s Field and a male Yellow Warbler (!) seen on Lancaster Drive–very early migrant!
23 April- Swallow sp. seen at Creamer’s Field; Northern Shovelers join the mix of geese, cranes, swans and other waterfowl at Creamer’s Field; also at Creamer’s was an American Kestrel
22 April- Several Yellow-rumped Warblers seen and heard singing at Creamer’s Field
21 April – Sharp-shinned Hawk and Sandhill Crane in Goldstream Valley
21 April – American Robins on Goldstream across from Ivory Jack’s; also heard this morning at ABO
20 April – Ruby-crowned Kinglets on Creamer’s Field by Crane Pond
20 April – American Tree Sparrows singing at ABO
19 April – Sandhill Crane (flyover) and American Robin at Creamer’s Farmhouse; 3 American Tree Sparrows by Farmhouse. Dark-eyed Juncos singing at ABO and throughout the area. First of year Green-winged Teal at Creamer’s front ponds.
17-18 April – Clearwater = Thousands of Canada Geese throughout night, along with Greater White-fronted geese, Snow Geese, Trumpeter and Tundra Swans, Herring & Mew Gulls, Common and Barrow’s Goldeneye, Red-breasted Merganser, Osprey, Merlin, several Bald Eagles, Northern Pintails, and a Varied Thrush. Northern Harriers and bunches of buteos–Red-tailed and Rough-legged Hawks along Sawmill Creek and Barley Road in Delta.
17 April – Raven chasing young Bald Eagle on 23rd
16 April – 40+ gulls flying over Creamer’s Field at 9pm; Great Horned Owl at UAF across from Wood Center
16 April – trip to Delta Junction = 8 Ravens, 3 Canada Geese, 10 Trumpeter Swans, 1 Herring Gull, 1 Black-billed Magpie, 5 hares and 2 moose
15 April- At least 8 Greater White-fronted Geese have joined the 300+ group of Canada Geese at Creamer’s front ponds
14 April – Adult Bald Eagle chasing geese on Creamer’s Refuge; First of Year Greater White-fronted Goose arrives at Creamer’s front ponds
13 April – Great Gray Owl heard at Airport
13 April – 5 Trumpeter Swans on Chena River @ University; up to 7 swans on April 14th; Bald Eagle also seen along Chena
13 April – Harlan’s Hawk (subspecies Red-tail Hawk) seen 3 mile CHSR
12 April – Leucistic Canada Goose seen on Creamer’s Field
6-8 April – Snow Buntings at Creamer’s Field (back fields near ABO)
5 April - 5 swans (probably Trumpeter) at Creamer’s Refuge
2 April – 6 Canada Geese at Creamer’s Refuge

31 March – a caller from North Pole reported two Canada Geese flying toward Fairbanks!
30 March – 2 Red-tailed Hawks flying over Gilmore Trail
30 March – two geese flying overhead @ Eielson Air Force Base in the evening
30 March – Redbreasted Sapsucker!!! at 2807 Riverview Drive. It is working in chokecherry trees.
29 March- Bohemian Waxwings at ABO
23 March- Short-eared Owl fighting the winds over Creamer’s Field behind ABO building; Peregrine Falcon on gilmore St; large flock of Bohemian Waxwings on Gilmore feeding in chokecherries and crabapples
21 March – Ruffed Grouse drumming behind ABO
21 March – Bohemian Waxwings on 17th Street (behind Value Village)
15 March – Group of 14 Black-billed Magpies spotted off Air Park Road (near Steese Highway and Farmer’s Loop Road)
14 March – 2 Bald Eagles spotted on Chena River behind Alaskaland going after ducks
