June 13: Creamer's Songbird Studies (ages 9-12) Spend a day on Creamer's Refuge working with birds up close alongside ABO scientists at ABO's bird banding station and on our Tree Swallow nesting project. 9 AM- 4 PM. Cost: $40

June 20: Birds, Bugs, & the Boreal Forest: Art & Ecology at Creamer's Refuge (ages 10-14) Spend the day learning from biologists & artists on Creamer's Refuge. We will emphasize understanding the boreal ecosystem in order to reproduce the natural world in art. Kids will produce two works of art with local artists. 9 AM- 4 PM. Cost: $65 (includes supplies)

June 27: Bird Tales I (ages 6-8) Learn about birds through stories, crafts, games, and activities. 9 AM- 3 PM. Cost: $35

July 18: Bird Tales II (ages 4-6) Learn about birds through stories, crafts, games, and activities. 9 AM- Noon. Cost: $20

July 25: Junior Owl Prowl (ages 7-9) Learn all about the owls of Alaska through games and activities. Learn to identify owl calls, dissect owl pellets, and MEET LIVE OWLS! 9 AM- 3 PM. Cost: $35

August 1 (NEW DATE): Owl Prowl (ages 10-12) Learn about the owls of Alaska through games and activities. Learn to identify owl calls, dissect owl pellets, and MEET LIVE OWLS! 9 AM- 3 PM. Cost: $35

August 4 (NEW DATE): Make your Home a Habitat, a Family Workshop Bring the whole family to ABO to learn to attract birds and other wildlife to your own backyard. Each family will build two bird feeders and a nesting box to take home. 9:30 AM- 12:30  PM. Cost: $25/family

August 18: Family Bird Banding Breakfast Enjoy a light breakfast while learning about bird banding. Take a guided walk to the bird banding station to see songbirds and ABO's research first-hand. 8:30- 10:30 AM. Cost: $15/family

September 15: ABO Raptor Camp (ages 10-12) Learn all about Alaska's birds of prey and the ancient sport of falconry. Meet a live bird and go along with a falconer on the hunt! 10 AM- 3 PM. Cost: $30
