The Arctic Moon Bird Club is for kids in the Fairbanks area who are interested in enhancing their birding skills, learning more about the natural world, meeting other kids with similar interests, and doing activities focused on birds and birding. Bird Club members will be involved in one activity per month. Most activities will be based at ABO’s Center for Education & Research. Some will be home-based; others will be field-based. Examples of home-based activities include making a bird feeder from recycled materials or researching a particular bird species. Field-based activities may include meeting with guest speakers, looking for birds around Fairbanks, or participating in a community activity such as the Christmas Bird Count. |
