More yellow-rumped warblers are caught at ABO than any other species. The male's rump, crown and sides are bright yellow. The back is blue-back with black stripes and the throat, wing bars and belly are white. They have a black mask. Females are similar but not as brightly colored. We call them "butter-butts" for fun. Watch for a flash of yellow as this bird flies through mixed forest habitats.
