American Tree Sparrow
(Spizella arborea)

Description: A good clue to help identify a Tree Sparrow is the dark spot on its unstreaked gray breast. The head is gray with a rusty cap and eye line. The back is rusty and the wings and tail have frosty white edges.
Food: insects, seeds and buds.
Habitat: shrubs.
Winter: United States and southern Canada.
