Blackpoll Warbler

This beautiful bird looks a bit like a chickadee but look closer and you will see how very different these two can be.
Description: In spring the male has a gray back with contrasting black streaks extending down its sides, white cheeks and wing bars and a black cap. He looks like the female for the rest of the year. The female has similar markings but is drab olive-green.
Food: insects.
Habitat: mixed forests.
Winter: Peru and Brazil.
