Northern Waterthrush

Although it resembles a thrush, this bird is actually a warbler. They are hard to spot but their song is loud and clear.
Description: It has a brown back and brown streaks on the throat, breast and sides. The eyebrow stripe is white and extends beyond the eye. The beak is dark brown and the legs are pale orange.
Food: waterbugs and beetles.
Habitat: along creeks and marshy areas.
Winter: southern Mexico to Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, French Guiana and the West Indies.
